The Kogelberg Nature Reserve is a large (3,000ha) and important nature reserve comprising the Kogelberg Mountain Range, to the east of Cape Town, South Africa. With about 1600 plant species, it contains a floral diversity per unit area that is greater than anywhere else in the world. In addition to its unique mountain fynbos, other ecosystems include wetlands, as well as the riparian vegetation of the Palmiet River, which is the most untouched in the south Western Cape
This tour will leave early in the morning (6am) from Studio7 and we will drive on to the R44 bridge that cross over the Palmiet River near the mouth. There we will take a walk down to the river to explore some stunning photographic opportunities.
Afterwards we will move on to the Kogelberg Nature Reserve and the offices at Oudebosch form where we will go on a guided hike with Andreas up the Oudebosh Valley and through the famous Fynbos of this area. Fantastic river, floral, bird and mountain scenery will make for lovely photo opportunities.
